To copy text from any source on the internet, just long press the sentence or a word of it. After a couple of seconds, the chosen text would be highlighted. Just adjust it to cover the part that you’re interested in. You’d obviously have to hit ‘Copy’ afterwards for the text to be locked on the clipboard.
Most users are not aware that screenshots are also considered copied items. Whenever you use your Android phone to capture your screen, the image would be copied along being saved on your device. This might create some confusion, so be careful whenever taking screenshots on your device.
Clearing Your Clipboard on an Android Device
The easiest and most common way to clear a clipboard on Android is to just copy something else. As you copy a new item on the clipboard, the history of locked items or texts would be deleted automatically. But you’d be left with the new copied item on your clipboard.
If you’d like to clear your clipboard completely, it’s really simple to do. Some Samsung devices save a history of copied items. So, it’s actually a wise thing to do.
To clear your clipboard, follow these simple steps:
- Go to your Notes on an Android Device.
- Long-press the screen as if you’re copying any text on the screen.
- A horizontal menu will be prompted. Choose the three-dotted button on the far right.
- A button dubbed ‘Clipboard’ would then be offered on your screen. You may click on that.
- Afterwards, you’ll see the saved history of all copied items on your device.
- Just click on ‘delete all’ and they would vanish immediately.
And that’s it! Whenever you need to clear you clipboard, that’s all you have to do. Of course, if you start copying new stuff, they would be saved in the history once again. Just re-do the steps we’ve shown you, and you’re good to go.
